  • Pro Mazda Champion and Rookie of the year 2013, driving for Andretti Autosport. Holds the all time series records for the most race wins (13 including seven in a row), most podiums (15) and fastest laps (13) in a single season
  • Awarded BRDC Rising Star membership
  • USF2000 Champion and Rookie of the Year 2012, driving for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. Four wins, five second and two third places, eight fastest laps, three track records and six pole positions also helped to secure the Team USA Scholarship
  • Won eight out of 12 Australian Formula Ford Victorian State Series races in 2011, including seven in a row, with Sonic Motor Racing Services. Matthew also took two Australian National Championship victories, two seconds and a pole position
